MLM growth is all about the new rep. In this post I will give you some tips and strategies that have helped me achieve MLM growth and improve the outcome of my team.
Understanding MLM Growth: Network Marketing vs. Affiliate Marketing
Now that so much of the network marketing industry has started turning to the internet, there are a few things that I want to cover in this post that will help you get your MLM growth sorted out.
The first is understanding the difference between network marketing and affiliate marketing.
Network marketing is built by having a lot of people doing a standard amount of work consistently. There are a lot of advantages of network marketing because in most companies as you hit the higher promotion levels, you are able to get paid off of every person in your entire team.
Affiliate marketing is not like that.
Affiliate marketing can tend to have slightly higher upfront commissions but it is basically the act of making sales online (selling products, tools, courses and programs).
MLM Growth: Where To Focus Your Time
This is important especially for the internet marketers in the modern age because internet marketers tend to have multiple streams of income (a network marketing program, many affiliate products they are selling, and possibly some side little online marketing programs).
When you are looking to create MLM growth you need to know what deserves your time (in terms of working with your people).
For example, if you are selling affiliate products, let’s say a course online, well those people should really require no other work. Hence, the sale is made, they get their product, you earn a commission and the day goes on.
In network marketing on the other hand, it is quite the opposite.
It is your number 1 goal to work with your new people to get them up and running smoothly and to also develop their leadership and confidence.
Your goal in network marketing is NOT to just make a million sales.
If you just want to make a million sales and earn commissions then network marketing is not for you, affiliate marketing may be better but if you are looking to recruit a handful of leaders and really work with those people along the way, you can create an army of highly effective leaders underneath you that are building their business independently.
Where MLM Growth Begins
MLM growth begins with the new rep. I learned the lesson a while ago “fewer is better” . Literally! It is better to recruit 1-2 very strong leaders per month that are excited and 100% with you to build it than to just “sign up 100 people”.
When you bring on a new MLM rep, get to really know them. Especially during the first few weeks.
Treat them like they are your new business partner and you are out to start the mission together.
Your goal is to create large MLM growth by having your personal sponsors so well trained and effective, that they stick with you for years and create 1000’s of representatives and customers underneath them.
When you bring on a new rep, help them get started in the right direction. Does your company have a training program? Do you have a fast start?
What is your main objective for the new rep?
You will want to have a plan of action to help your new reps succeed right away.
For example, in my network marketing company, new reps get $260 when they get their first 10 customers and $530 when they get their first 20 customers in the first 30 days.
Whenever we bring on new partners, we make it our number 1 goal to get them in customer mode immediately.
Having your new reps walk away with their first $530 check will build huge belief and have them stick in for the long hall.
I hope these tips helped.
