The only thing that can be tricky to set up with BOTH of the article marketing softwares is the email Pop3 servers. Finding the right servers for your email can take a few Google searches to find and can be challenging at first. You will need to look up on Google the email Pop3 servers for either your gmail, yahoo or personal hosted email address to enter into the system.

I noticed this review was before the Big G did the Panda update, did the update your rankings any?
Good review, I have used the Automatic Article Submitter in the past, but found it took too much time to submit and many of the lower article directories do not work or they are very buggy. Never used Article Robot though, heard good things about it.
